MAU is hiring a Senior Process Design Engineer for Fluor Nuclear Power in Greenville, SC. As a Senior Process Design Engineer, you will provide essential administrative support, technical expertise, and leadership. This role oversees a specific area, serving as the engineering discipline's representative to ensure technical accuracy throughout all phases of project execution. As a lead position, you will manage engineering assignments of advanced complexity on assigned projects. This is a contract, long-term opportunity.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Nuclear Engineering with at least 10 years of relevant work experience
General Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and standards, including Department of Energy regulations
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including project management, colleagues, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Comprehensive technical knowledge required to successfully complete job-related tasks
- Advanced expertise in discipline-specific codes and standards
- Ability to ensure work is compliant with all relevant local, state, and federal laws, codes, and guidelines
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and effectively within time constraints
- Proficient in computer and software applications, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and presentation programs
- Extensive experience in delivering engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for large-scale industrial projects
- Skilled in executing large EPC projects, utilizing engineering analysis, 3D modeling, and 2D computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) tools in a multi-disciplinary environment
Preferred requirements:
- Professional Engineer License
- Experience in designing systems, structures, and components for nuclear facilities following ASME NQA-1 standards
- Advanced knowledge of commercial material availability and cost analysis
- Proven ability to manage and lead large-scale projects effectively
- Proficient in project setup, development of control-level schedules, progress reporting, and project closeout
- Practical field experience across various projects
- EPC project experience within the following industries: U.S. Department of Energy, other U.S. federal government agencies, nuclear facilities adhering to nuclear quality assurance programs, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology
- Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs
Essential Functions:
- Serve as an Area Lead under the general supervision of the Discipline Lead Engineer, providing guidance and supervision to engineers and designers
- Analyze and independently recommend technical solutions for complex problems, ensuring alignment with project requirements
- Develop, review, and refine specifications and design criteria
- Perform and verify engineering analyses and calculations; specify materials, equipment, and systems; and resolve advanced technical challenges
- Coordinate technical issues with cross-functional teams, including other disciplines, project management, vendors, and clients
- Ensure all work is executed per the Project Quality Plan and established procedures
- Execute tasks in line with approved project scope, cost, and schedule baselines
- Prepare and review estimates, schedules, and progress reports, including effort-hour estimations and staff forecasting
- Establish, track, and report on key material quantities, providing detailed analysis and forecasts
- Offer technical support for equipment and material procurement activities, including scope of work preparation, technical bid evaluations, and vendor submittal reviews
- Provide technical expertise for construction administration, responding to construction requests for information (RFIs), and handling field changes
- Perform additional duties as assigned
